Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B Jagdtiger – A Steel Colossus of WWII in 1:28 Scale
The Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B Jagdtiger tank destroyer is one of the rarest designs from the final stages of World War II. Produced in limited numbers—fewer than 88 units in total—it remains an icon of heavy armored warfare to this day.
Now you have the opportunity to recreate this legendary vehicle using COBI building blocks in a true model scale, capturing its distinctive silhouette and enriching your collection with a gem of heavy armored weaponry.
What you will find in the Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B Jagdtiger set:
Tank Destroyer Model – featuring movable tracks that allow for realistic vehicle movement. Its distinctive silhouette, opening hatches and movable gun barrel make this model highly appealing to collectors and instantly recognizable.
1:28 Scale – the model's proportions allow for a faithful recreation of the original vehicle's form and character. This is the most detailed scale in the HISTORICAL COLLECTION WWII series, enabling the inclusion of a vast number of structural details.
Recreated Interior – not only the armor and markings, but also the vehicle's interior has been recreated with historical accuracy. A removable section of the armor allows you to peek inside and view the engine compartment as well as the crew stations.
Figures – three figures have been included in the set, serving as a wonderful complement to the model itself, or they can serve as part of a larger diorama:
• Tank Destroyer Commander – an experienced frontline veteran, as indicated by the scar on his face and his eye patch. He is dressed in an officer's cap, green military trousers and a camouflage uniform. In his hands, he holds a pair of binoculars and a Luger P08 (Parabellum) pistol.
• German Tank Crewman – a soldier wearing a standard black uniform and a garrison cap with headphones over his ears. He is holding a pair of binoculars.
• Mechanic – an experienced member of the tank destroyer crew, dressed in a black Feldmütze-style cap and a black shirt. In his hands, he holds a hammer needed for quick vehicle repairs.
Removable Engine – beneath a detachable service hatch lies a Maybach HL120 TRM engine, which can be removed and displayed alongside the vehicle.
Premium Build Quality – durable building blocks featuring abrasion-resistant prints ensure a sturdy construction and long-lasting enjoyment.
Exclusive Collector's Plate – an elegant display stand featuring the vehicle's name and scale highlights the model's collectible appeal.
Intuitive Construction – clear, step-by-step instructions make the assembly process simple and satisfying.
For Enthusiasts of Blocks and History – this set is designed for children aged 10 and up, as well as adult collectors, combining educational, collectible and display value.
Create Your Own History – this model belongs to the HISTORICAL COLLECTION WWII series, which you can expand upon and combine with other sets from this collection.
German Heavy Tank Destroyer from the late World War II era
The Jagdtiger was developed based on a slightly modified chassis of the PzKpfw VI B Königstiger (Tiger II) heavy tank. It was the heaviest armored vehicle to see combat during the conflict and the last mass-produced German tank destroyer.
Its impressive armament, combined with extremely thick armor, led to the Jagdtiger often being referred to as a "self-propelled bunker." Towards the end of the war, these vehicles were utilized—in among other roles—to cover the retreat of German units attempting to surrender to American forces while avoiding Soviet captivity.
Despite its immense firepower and armored protection the Jagdtiger's design suffered from numerous flaws. In practice, many units were lost not as a result of direct combat, but due to technical malfunctions or attacks by Allied aircraft.
Now you can recreate this history by building this unique set, illustrating a snapshot of the final weeks of Germany's defense leading up to the ultimate Allied victory in May, 1945.
