Cookie policy

Effective date: 01.10.2026

§ 1. General Information

This Cookie Policy (the “Cookie Policy”) sets out the rules governing our use of cookies and other similar technologies in connection with the COBI.COM online store, available at cobi.com and its language versions (the “Store”). In particular, it describes the types of technologies used, the purposes for which they are used, the categories of data collected through them, their duration, and how you can manage your consent.

We, COBI S.A., are the controller of your personal data processed in connection with the operation of the Store.

Cookies are small files or pieces of information stored on your device or accessed from your device when you use the Store.

The provisions of this Cookie Policy also apply to other technologies that enable information to be stored on your device, access to information already stored on your device, or recognition of your device or browser, where such technologies perform functions similar to cookies.

Cookies may be:

  • First-party cookies – placed or accessed directly in connection with the operation of our Store;

  • Third-party cookies – associated with services provided by third parties whose technological solutions we use in our Store.

§ 2. Categories of Cookies Used

We may use the following categories of cookies in our Store:

1. Necessary Cookies

Purpose and use: These cookies are necessary for the proper and secure operation of the Store and for providing the features you wish to use. In particular, they may be used to:

  • maintain your session;

  • manage the shopping cart and checkout process;

  • enable login functionality;

  • ensure the security of the Store;

  • remember your privacy and cookie preferences;

  • ensure the proper functioning of essential Store features.

Rules of use: We may use these cookies without your consent only to the extent that the conditions for doing so under applicable law are met.

2. Analytics Cookies

Purpose and use: These cookies allow us to analyse how you use the Store, including the number and duration of visits, traffic sources, pages visited, your interactions with individual elements of the Store, and events occurring while you use the Store.

We use this information primarily to prepare statistics, evaluate the Store's performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop its functionality.

Rules of use: Where these cookies are not necessary to provide a service you have requested, we use them only after obtaining your appropriate consent.

3. Marketing Cookies

Purpose and use: These cookies help us conduct marketing and advertising activities and measure their effectiveness. Depending on the tool used, they may be used in particular to:

  • measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;

  • attribute specific events or conversions to campaigns;

  • create advertising audiences;

  • limit the number of times the same advertisement is displayed;

  • tailor advertisements to your potential interests;

  • conduct remarketing activities.

Rules of use: We use these cookies only after obtaining your appropriate consent.

4. Functional Cookies

Purpose and use: Where used, these cookies enable us to provide additional Store features or remember your settings and preferences that are not strictly necessary for using the Store.

Rules of use: Where a particular feature is not necessary to provide a service you have requested, we activate the relevant technology only after obtaining your consent.

§ 3. Categories of Data

Depending on the type of cookies and the provider involved, the technologies used in our Store may allow us to collect or process, in particular, the following categories of information:

  • cookie identifiers and other online identifiers;

  • information about your session;

  • your IP address and information that may be derived from it;

  • information about your device, operating system, and browser;

  • information about the date and time of your use of the Store;

  • information about the pages you visit and products you view;

  • information about your interactions with the Store;

  • information about the source from which you accessed the Store;

  • information about events and conversions;

  • information about your responses to advertising activities;

  • other identifiers or technical data generated by the solutions we use.

The actual scope of information collected through individual technologies depends on the Store's configuration, the settings of the relevant tool, and the choices you make.

We apply the principle of data minimisation and configure the technologies we use so that the scope of data collected is adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary to achieve the specified purpose.

§ 4. Detailed Information About the Technologies Used

An up-to-date list of cookies and other similar technologies used in the Store is available in the “Cookie Settings” panel accessible through the Store.

For each technology used, we provide at least the following information in the “Cookie Settings” panel:

  • the name of the cookie or other technology;

  • the category to which it belongs;

  • the provider;

  • the purpose for which it is used;

  • its duration or retention period;

  • where applicable, additional information about the nature or operation of the technology necessary to enable you to make an informed choice.

For technologies provided by third parties, we may also provide information or links in the Cookie Settings concerning the relevant provider's data processing practices, where necessary to ensure transparency about how the technology operates.

The list referred to above reflects the technologies currently used in the Store and may be updated when the tools used or their configuration change.

Technologies belonging to categories that require your consent are activated only in accordance with the choices you make through the consent management panel.

The “Cookie Settings” panel remains available to you after you have made your initial choice, allowing you to review the technologies currently used, change your preferences, or withdraw your consent at any time.

§ 5. Consent to Cookies

When you first visit our Store, we enable you to manage the use of optional cookies through a consent management tool.

In particular, you may:

  • accept all optional cookies;

  • reject optional cookies;

  • select individual categories of cookies;

  • change your choices or withdraw your consent at a later time.

We do not treat your inactivity, simply closing the cookie notice, continuing to browse the Store, or pre-selected settings as consent to the use of optional cookies.

We do not activate technologies requiring your consent until that consent has been obtained.

We ensure that withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Refusing consent to analytics or marketing cookies does not restrict your ability to use the basic features of our Store.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of activities carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

Where information collected through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data, it is also processed in accordance with the GDPR and the principles set out in our Privacy Policy.

For optional technologies requiring your consent, the legal basis for our processing of personal data for the purposes covered by that consent is generally Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

For necessary cookies, the legal basis for processing personal data depends on the purpose of the specific processing activity and may arise, in particular, from Article 6(1)(b), (c), or (f) GDPR.

§ 6. Profiling and Advertising

If you consent to marketing cookies, we may use information collected through such technologies to evaluate advertising effectiveness, attribute conversions, create advertising audiences, conduct remarketing, and, where permitted by the configuration of the relevant tool, tailor advertising content to your potential interests.

Where the information used for these purposes constitutes personal data, the legal basis for its processing by COBI within the scope of your consent is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

In connection with our use of marketing tools, certain information may be shared with advertising platform providers, who may process it in accordance with the rules applicable to the services they provide.

We configure marketing tools to limit the scope of data shared to information necessary to achieve the specified purpose.

If we introduce profiling within our Store that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you, we will inform you separately in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.

Detailed information about the processing of personal data in connection with profiling and your rights is available in our Privacy Policy.

§ 7. Third-Party Providers

We may use services provided by third parties supplying technologies necessary for the operation of our Store, as well as analytics, communication, marketing, or advertising solutions.

Depending on the nature of the service provided and the terms applicable to the provider, such an entity may act as:

  • a processor handling your personal data on our behalf;

  • an independent controller of your personal data; or

  • a joint controller of your personal data together with us.

In cases of joint controllership, we ensure compliance with the obligations arising from Article 26 GDPR to the extent applicable.

Up-to-date information about providers of technologies used in connection with cookies is available in the Cookie Settings, to the extent relevant to the individual technologies.

§ 8. Transfers of Data Outside the European Economic Area

Our use of services provided by certain third-party providers may result in your personal data being transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where we transfer your personal data outside the EEA, we ensure that the legal bases and safeguards required under Chapter V of the GDPR are applied.

Depending on the recipient and destination country, such transfers may take place, in particular, on the basis of:

  • a European Commission adequacy decision, including, where applicable, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework;

  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission;

  • other mechanisms provided for under the GDPR.

You may obtain information about the transfer mechanisms we use in accordance with the principles set out in our Privacy Policy.

§ 9. Managing Cookies

You may change your preferences regarding optional cookies at any time using the consent management panel available in our Store.

You may also restrict or block cookies by adjusting the settings of your web browser or device.

Your browser settings operate independently of the consent management mechanism available in our Store.

Blocking necessary cookies may cause certain features of our Store to function incorrectly.

We do not enable analytics or marketing cookies by default before obtaining your required consent.

Changes to your preferences or withdrawal of consent through the consent management panel apply prospectively and do not affect the lawfulness of activities carried out before the change or withdrawal.

§ 10. Retention Periods

Cookies may be:

  • Session cookies – generally stored until the end of your browser session; or

  • Persistent cookies – retained on your device for the period specified for the relevant cookie or until they are deleted earlier.

The duration of individual cookies depends on their purpose, the configuration of our Store, and the parameters of the technology determined by us or the relevant provider.

We determine the duration of the technologies used in accordance with the principle of storage limitation and do not retain identifiers longer than justified by the purpose for which they are used.

The current duration of individual cookies is specified in the Cookie Settings.

Where information collected through cookies constitutes personal data, the period of its further processing may differ from the technical duration of the cookie itself. Information about personal data retention periods is also available in our Privacy Policy.

§ 11. Changes to the Cookie Policy

We may periodically update this Cookie Policy, particularly in the event of changes to applicable laws, the technologies we use, service providers, or the operation of our Store.

The current version of the Cookie Policy is always available in the Store, together with information about the date of its most recent update.

Changes to the Cookie Policy do not constitute a basis for activating technologies that require consent or for extending the scope of consent you have previously given.

If a change in the way a particular technology is used requires new consent under applicable law, the technology will be used within the modified scope only after the required consent has been obtained.

We periodically verify that the information contained in the Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings is consistent with the technologies actually used in our Store.
