One of the most important moments in the history of the Audi Quattro S1 E2 came at the 1985 San Remo Rally.
Behind the wheel was two-time World Rally Champion Walter Röhrl. Together with Christian Geistdörfer, the German driver claimed a commanding victory ahead of rivals from Peugeot and Lancia. It was the S1 E2’s only WRC victory and also Röhrl’s final World Rally Championship win.
