Unique Limited Edition COBI set

The Limited Edition has been prepared in a unique configuration and is available in a limited edition.

The set has been enriched with additional collector's items that emphasize its exclusive character.

The set includes 1,160 blocks, a Panzer V Panther, a Soviet 152 mm M1937 gun, an extensive diorama, three exclusive figures, a certificate of authenticity and a black, laser-engraved collector's plaque.

The historic battle of the last months of World War II

One of the most important German tanks of this period was the Panzer V Panther – a modern design equipped with heavily sloped armor and the powerful 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 gun. Tanks of this type fought on the Eastern Front from 1943, and in the final period of the war were used primarily in defensive operations.

On the other side was the Red Army's heavy artillery. The 152mm M1937, known as the ML-20, was among the most powerful Soviet artillery pieces. It was used, among other things, to destroy fortifications, artillery emplacements and other heavily defended targets.

It was the confrontation of these two characteristic designs that became the inspiration for this unique Limited Edition.

Information about the PANZER V PANTHER & 152 mm ML-20 building set

The centerpiece of the set is a detailed 1:35 scale model of the Panzer V Panther.

The model features the characteristic camouflage of German armored vehicles. The number 211 is emblazoned on the side armor, giving the vehicle a distinctive character.

The design reproduces the most important features of the original Panthers:

• characteristic, sloped armor
• moving tower
• long-barreled, mobile gun
• opening hatches
• characteristic hull elements
• running gear with tracks
• historical colors and markings

The model was prepared both for display and for the possibility of playing out your own scenes.

Soviet 152 mm gun ML-20

The second main model of the set is the 152 mm M1937 (ML-20) gun.

This heavy field gun-howitzer has been recreated in the form characteristic of the original. The model complements the Panther by presenting subjects representing both sides of the Eastern Front in a single scene.

The design reproduces the most important features of the original gun-howitzer:

·      movable rubber tires

·      movable barrel

    ·     "whiskers" of the gun-howitzer that can be deployed

This allows you to create a scene depicting the moment when the Red Army's heavy artillery prepares for further action while the German Panther moves to attack.

A section of a street destroyed by war

One of the most important elements of the Limited Edition is the extensive diorama that combines all the models and figures into one composition.

It depicts a fragment of a ruined brick tenement house surrounded by the remains of a sidewalk and green space. Around the building are elements suggesting destruction and abandonment.

In the scene you will find, among others:

• a fragment of a brick, ruined tenement house
• remains of the pavement
• fragments of lawn
• flowers
• scattered boards
• a barrel
• street lamp
• the inscription on the wall "NICHT AUFGEBEN!"

Three figures, or heroes of a war drama

The set includes 3 figures that allow you to give the diorama an even more complex story character.

Each one represents a different character and is equipped with characteristic uniforms and equipment.

Panther Commander

The first figure depicts a Panther commander. The soldier is wearing:

• Feldmütze cap
• Eichentarn camouflage uniform
• Parabellum pistol

The figure well highlights the dramatic nature of the last months of the war, when German crews increasingly fought in defensive conditions.

Red Army artilleryman

The second figure depicts a Soviet artilleryman manning a 152mm M1937 gun. He is dressed in a typical Red Army uniform from the final period of World War II and wears a distinctive SSh-40 helmet.

Its presence helps to contextualize the cannon. It is not merely a static model of the weapon, but part of an active scene depicting Soviet artillery operations.

Soviet sapper

The third figure depicts a Soviet soldier with a sapper and a DP light machine gun. The figure wearing the SSh-40 helmet stands out:

• full camouflage print
• a characteristic steel sapper's breastplate

A particularly interesting detail is the steel sapper's breastplate. This element gives the figure a unique character and further distinguishes it in the collection, as it appears for the first time in COBI sets!

Collector's plate - a unique Limited Edition detail

The set comes with a black, laser-engraved collector's plaque. The plaque includes the model name, scale and limited edition number. The black, minimalist design of the plaque complements the military character of the set and allows for an elegant way to mark the model on display.

The set also includes a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by COBI's CEO. This certificate confirms the unique nature of the Limited Edition and serves as an additional collector's item.
