Description

The Ju 87 dive bomber is one of the most recognizable aircraft of the Second World War. The characteristic feature of this machine are the wings in the configuration of the letter "W", which is perfectly reflected in our block model! The plane was first flown in 1935, but it was first used for combat in 1938 during the Spanish Civil War. In German propaganda, the Junkers became a symbol of Luftwaffe power. The machine was successfully used during the battles fought in Poland, Scandinavia, France, Crete and during Operation Barbarossa. JU 87 in the B-2 version was intended for tasks performed in Africa. The block model developed in 1:32 scale consists of 525 elements and is enhanced by realistic tropical camouflage and prints.

The plane has a moving propeller and ailerons and rotating wheels with rubber tires. The cockpit can be opened to seat the carefully designed pilot and gunner/radio operator figures at the controls. When built the plane is 34.5cm long. The set also includes a special stand with a transparent pin, with which you can display the plane "in flight". The set is also complemented by a plate with the name of the plane. The JU 87 B-2 in tropical camouflage is a perfect addition to the WWII aircraft collection! The set will delight not only young history enthusiasts, but even adult collectors and fans of military technology. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI!

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 8 reviews.

This build is over all solid, BUT, like ALL the other COBI planes, it is WEAK, the studs come out of there sockets WAY to easily. I was trying to transport it up my stairs, and I was holding it between the cockpit area, and the tail area, well, the tail fell off, the cockpit FLEW off, the landing gear took a trip, and the nose decided to say "goodbye" and went GOD knows where, and when I tried to get extra pieces, like encountered before, the person who answered said, "we don't sell extra pieces, you'll have to contact the Polish department." And hung up, no number, no transfer. So, a message to COBI, lower your prices, make the grip or whatever you call it of your studs better, and USE BETTER PLASTIC.

The bomber is an excellent build and a great addition to any COBI collection. Aircraft are always great to build and their detail is superior to any other block building company.

Incredible quality and arrived quickly. So happy I discovered this top quality brand. I’m $2,000.00+ invested into Cobi kits. They make models that are licensed and are of topics that interest me.

Customer photo review of COBI Junkers JU 87 B-2 Dive Bomber : Set #5748

This was the most difficult of the 8 COBI WWII builds I have done so far. The nose/engine had several niggling steps that were hard to insert and keep together until the complete unit was assembled. All was eventually accomplished satisfactorily though. I do appreciate the painted framework on the canopy (wish they would do the same on all models), and the built in gullwing with proper dihedral.
